Koehlbrandbrueckenlauf Training: Week 6

I can’t belive that my first race in ages is right around the corner, and last week was much better than week 5. I still had stomach problems in between, but after I talked to a new doctor last Monday, I am pretty sure things are going to be better soon.

Week 1 (August 13- August 19, 2012)
Week 2 (August 20- August 26, 2012)
Week 3 (August 27- September 2, 2012)
Week 4 (September 3- September 9, 2012)
Week 5 (September 10- September 16, 2012)
1 Weeks and 3 days left


Monday: 8,2 km in 54 min, 36 sec (6:40 min/km)

Friday: 10 km in 1 hour, 7 min, 38 sec (6:46 min/km)

Total of 18,2 km in Week 6.


Goals for week 6 were: 

  • Run 3 times (I’ll say, look at the looongerish runs I got in, it counts- kind of)
  • One “Long run” (~ 9 km) – 8km and 10 km, does that count as 2 long runs?
  • 3x 15 min stretching fail, big times.
  • 2x “mission-happy-knees” my knees are still happy, even without my little mission

Goals for week 7:

  • run 3 times, make it happen!
  • 15 min stretching after every run!
  • 1x “mission-happy-knees” (now, I take this as a pretty realistic goal)

Only 10 days left until the race.
